“Imam al-Hassan (A.S.) was a symbol of generous morality and munificent disposition in the life”, Sheikh Kazeruni said.

Hawzah News Agency-“Imam al-Hassan (A.S.) was a symbol of generous morality and munificent disposition in the life”, Sheikh Kazeruni said.

In the special program on Imam al-Hassan’s (A.S.) birthday anniversary held in the Imam Khomeini (R.A.) grand portico, Sheikh Kazeruni remarked, “In describing the generosity of Imam al-Hassan (A.S.), this is enough to say that he even favored his enemy’s agent who was assigned to disdain his holiness and gave him the lodging in Medina.”

“Imam al-Hassan (A.S.) donated all his properties for the sake of God to the needy three times during his life and all people close to him were favored by his generosity”, he reiterated.
Noting that Imam al-Hassan (A.S.) possessed all generous dispositions and attributes, the lecturer said, “Besides possessing generosity, he was also characterized by good morality, patience, compassion, brevity, enthusiasm, etc.”

Describing generosity as an ethical virtue, he added, “Islam has largely stressed on generosity so far that the prophet (S.A.W.) stated: ‘The generous infidel is closer to God than the stingy faithful’; this marks the importance of generosity in Islam.”
“The sustenance of the generous is valuable since it is accompanied by health and one who is not in good health, though possessing a large amount of wealth, cannot make benefit of it but one who is healthy but not so wealthy still is able to enjoy his life”, he added.

“Generosity is a tree in the Heaven and whoever is hanging from its branches is a companion of the Heaven and in contrary, stinginess has a tree in the Hell that whoever is hanging from its branches is a companion of the Hell”, he added.
“Generosity and magnanimity are attributes that bring us to the Heaven; therefore, in the birthday anniversary of Imam al-Hassan al-Mujtaba (A.S.) we recourse to God and pray to him to grant us a generous characteristic”, Sheikh Kazeruni added.
